| The true Outlaw, Hughie Thomasson is one of the original members of the Outlaws. He has written most of there greatest songs including: "There Goes Another Love Song", "Hurry Sundown", and the southern rock classic, "Green Grass & High Tides" The Outlaws trademark show closer, and the song that put The Outlaws on the radio in 1975. He has kept the band alive through many personnel changes, with the last incarnation including Chris Hicks, now with The Marshall Tucker Band, BB Borden, Jeff Howell, and Timothy Cabe. Together they toured in the early 90's, and recorded "Hittin The Road-Live" , in 1993, and "Diablo Canyon", in 1994. Hughie is doing great and currently playing with The Lynyrd Skynyrd Band. Hughie co-wrote some of the songs on the new L S album, so there will be a little Outlaws in the new Skynyrd According to an article in JAM Magazine, June 07, 1996, Hughie said the Outlaws are not dead, they are just on vacation, and they are (or were) planning a new record soon. There are rumors of a Hughie solo album, but as of now it has yet to be released. Maybe after the Skynyrd tour we can look forward to Hughie's solo effort. In the liner notes on '94's "Diablo Canyon", Hughie writes that "the best is yet to come". Every Outlaws fans dream is a reunion tour. Keep Prayin and Keep Hoping , hopefully, this will happen soon.
